Xavier Russell is an award winning Film Editor with over 30 years experience. Working both in drama
and factual / arts documentaries. Winning the Prix Italia for documentary - Ralph Vaughan Williams in 1984.
Xavier also edited the BAFTA award winning series Howard Goodhall's Big Bangs music series in 1990.
He also won a BISFA editing craft award for the corporate film - Excuse Me , But That's My Car in 1987.
More recently Xavier has edited acclaimed series such as - Zen, The Hour, The Musketeers, Strike Back, Dickensian, Cold Feet, Dr Who, Delicious and Killing Eve.
Xavier is currently editing 'The Mallorca Files', a new ten part crime drama for the BBC which
is being co-produced with Cosmopolitan Pictures and Clerkenwell Films.
Xavier has also edited and directed many music videos including Elton John's Nikita and
Andrew Lloyd Webber's - Phantom Of The Opera. As well as being a film editor Xavier for many years has been a freelance journalist for such publications as - Sounds , Kerrang ! and Classic Rock Presents - AOR.
Xavier also co-wrote - Metallica - A Visual Documentary.
Xavier is a regular contributor to the new rock magazine - 'Rock Candy', which is now
available in most good newsagents and bookshops in both the UK and USA.
